2. Precise Location Data Usage
Insafety Autopilot collects precise location data to enable GPS course and speed alerts.
• Background Access: This data is collected even when the app is closed or not in use. This is a core requirement to provide real-time safety alerts and navigation features while the app is running in the background.
• Purpose: This data is used solely to trigger real-time safety alerts for the user.
• Ephemeral Processing: Location data is processed in real-time and kept only temporarily in volatile memory. We do not maintain a persistent history of your movements on our servers.
3. Data Sharing and Advertising
• No Third-Party Sharing: We do not share your location or personal data with third parties.
• No Advertising: Your data is never used for advertising, marketing, or user profiling purposes.
4. Data Security and Encryption
We use industry-standard encryption protocols to ensure that all data is encrypted in transit. We implement strict technical and organizational measures to prevent unauthorized access, manipulation, or loss of data.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
• Retention: We only retain data for as long as necessary to provide the core services of the App (ephemeral processing).
• Deletion Rights: You may request the deletion of any data associated with your use of the App by contacting us at welcome@insafety.ch.
6. Your Rights
In accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), you have the right to:
• Access the data we process about you.
• Correct or delete your data.
